Application areas
Level measurement: The STD700 differential pressure transmitter is used for hydrostatic level measurement in closed, non-ventilated tanks and vessels. The fill level is determined via the differential pressure between the bottom (higher pressure) and the top side (lower pressure).
Filter monitoring: The STD700 is also used for filter monitoring. The more clogged or dirty a filter gets, the higher the pressure difference. The state of the filters can be monitored with the help of differential pressure and advance warnings.
Flow measurement: The STD700 by Honeywell can also be used for flow measurement. Using the differential pressure method, the mass flow of a substance is measured within a certain orifice measuring section. Special importance should be placed on the precise dimensioning of the orifice plate and the correct adjustment of the transducer to the process.
