Stop sales of Honeywell PID controllers UDC2500 and UDC3200

Honeywell discontinues the sale of the UDC2500 and UDC3200 PID controllers. A. Hock has the suitable alternative in its portfolio: the UDC2800. Learn more!

Honeywell already announced the discontinuation of the UDC2500 and UDC3200 PID controllers in 2021. Now, sales of the controller series will be completely discontinued. An ideal replacement is the UDC2800 PID temperature controller. It is fully compatible, has a user-friendly interface, improved control and much more - to be found in the product portfolio of A. Hock.

Overview of the discontinued universal controllers

In 2004, the UDC2500 and UDC3200 controllers were first released for sale. At that time already with numerous improvements such as NEMA protection on the front, Ethernet communication or infrared communication port.
The universal digital controllers in 96 mm x 96 mm front format also allowed the connection of common probes.

Both PID temperature controllers are now replaced by a stand-alone device - the UDC2800, equipped with numerous state-of-the-art features.

We answer the most frequently asked questions from our customers about the new PID controller from Honeywell.

 

There are 3 configuration options:

  • The UDC2800 can be configured via the push buttons as with the UDC2500 and UDC3200.
  • Via the Easyset software package as with the UDC2500 and UDC3200.
  • Or new with Bluetooth remote connection on your IOS device. Android and Windows versions will be available soon

The UDC2800 has an identical electrical connection layout as the UDC2500 and UDC3200, so no changes to your drawings are required. You only need to adopt the new model number!

The UDC2800 has an optional Set Point Program (SPP) option with 8 programs and 8 segments each. You can save these and select them at the start of the process. They can also be combined to create a more sophisticated SPP!
